restless, i asked the Source:

"what matters?
who am i?
where leads the ladders?
for what do i try?
why do i exist?
what do i desire?
what have i missed?
what burns in this fire?
from where comes my fuel?
what is the ‘i’?
where’s my renewal?
to what should i fly?
which road to begin?
within what lies my bliss?”

the Source answered,

"now; this."

i sing my heart to

they’ll fly her my words.

on page after page,
i breathe my ink.
it is

heart and mind
can sync
and sink

sometimes,
the most
beautiful
poetry
is not
burdened by,
nor encased
in intricate
rhymes.
yes,
sometimes
the perfect
lines
are most
real,
when
penned
by the thumping echoes
of two hearts
reminding
the other
to
feel.

Tuesdays
and Fridays
are when i see
her the most.
oh, my heart
is a parasite
and she’s
the host.

i
can
only
close
my eyes
because
i know you
await just
beyond
the
sunrise.
